What's our type?

What we do?

People in need.

Rediscover your shine.   Rediscover church.   Rediscover you.

what pity he felt for the crowds that came, because their problems were so great and they didn’t know what to do or where to go for help  Matthew 9:36TLB

How's this for being Politically correct? Like attracts like; we as humans gravitate toward what is most familiar.  But God has called us all to a higher standard. Nothing is better than when we can worship the Lord together. That is the mandate, as children of the Lord.  When you expand beyond your race you not only learn how to reach various communities, but you teach how to reach.

Ranking sin does not minimize the effect of being separated from a loving God. Let's face it, we can't get it all right by Sunday. So just walk in the door and allow the emptiness to be filled and the chains of despair to be broken as you get a clearer understanding of the Word of Life. We teach and believe that Jesus' blood washes us clean from the yuck of sin.

It's all about worship that is vertically directed. Okay brace yourselves, we often sing more than two songs as it gets us in tune with the heavenly atmosphere.  So you may see us lifting our hands, closing our eyes or crying out to the Lord. Yes, we worship and respect the power of corporate worship. We expect the Holy Spirit to be present.

MATTHEW 5:14-16

We're a gathering of singles, marrieds, parents, young, not so young, fighting to stay young and the mature. So come as you are, but keep in mind Hallel is not a club. We ask that you respect yourself and others and cover what's valuable and precious. Be stylish. Casual. Dresses. Suits. California cool. You do you while having respect for the eyes of others.

Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven. #MSG

We believe in family. We believe in children attending church and receiving a touch from God just like adults. We believe in teaching children scriptures through song. They are not given junk food to stay occupied while their parents listen to a word of encouragement. Children are the future of the church, and they matter at Hallel Chapel.
